This week Greenwood made themselves present throughout the city. A town hall meeting took place on Saturday at the Rudisill Library African American Resource Center. This was the first meeting in partnership with the Greenwood Project, a program in search of Black Wall Street ascendants to train them in technology careers, as well as genealogical support, wealth management and legacy building. *See more information below.
There was also a drillers game on Saturday, attended by many business owners and members of the Greenwood community.
Many more community events are coming soon, including a dance recital on August 18th at 10am and Mr. Ideas’s second Sip and Paint on Thursday, August 12th, at 7pm.
Greenwood officially received its first official document from the federal government regarding its entry into the Nation Registry of Historic Places.
